Dr. James Pappas
Dr. James Pappas was born in Pasadena, California. He attended San Marino schools and graduated from San Marino High School. Afterwards, Dr. Pappas attended the University of Southern California (USC) and received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from the University of the Pacific.
Because of his exceptional academic credentials, Dr. Pappas was the only member of his dental graduating class to be accepted into an endodontic (i.e., root canal) specialty program right out of dental school. As such, he attended one of the premiere endodontic programs in the nation and graduated from Temple University as a root canal specialist.
Dr. Pappas has continued his dental training by attending post-graduate dental courses and seminars on a routine basis. He has performed thousands of successful root canals and has relieved the pain of countless patients.
Dr. Pappas is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and San Gabriel Valley Dental Society.
Dr. Pappas is honored to be practicing dentistry with his father, Peter, and his brother, Alex. Both his father and brother are general dentists.
Dr. Pappas attends St. Anthony’s Greek Orthodox Church in Pasadena. As a root canal specialist, he believes in a conservative dental approach where teeth are saved when it is possible to do so.
